SVP will present the classical community concert “Ivory Fantasy” by Nina McIntire (pianist, composer), opera tenor Eugeny Kozyrenko, and Alena Gorina (concert pianist). Artist Nina McIntire, who is compositionally fusing the most famous works of great masters of past centuries with modern hits. The result is an incredibly revolutionary style of modern popular music, written for piano and piano/percussion, producing a sound which is so unique, so dynamic, so explosive, the resulting sparks burst into a musical display of fireworks that must be seen and heard to be believed. The musicians will celebrate the life and works of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky by performing his arias and romances together with the most beloved Russian folk music. Your breath will be taken away by the delicate and dramatic piano pieces from Chopin and Schubert.

The City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division, a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, and an award from the National Endowment for the Arts have all helped make this event possible. Please join us!
